Ash Wednesday Worship Service  7:00 pm, February 22

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, a season in which Christians have traditionally prepared for Easter.  Lent is a time when new Christians are prepared in the faith, a time for wayward Christians to return to their faith communities with renewed commitment to worship and serve God, a time when Christians intentionally remember and prepare for the celebration by giving up some pleasures or taking on new responsibilities in serving their Lord.  Too easily taken for granted in these busy times and too easily neglected as secondary to the Christmas season, a celebration of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the centrally defining event of the Christian faith.

Sunday worship is at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

If we don't see you at Lakeway, we pray that God will find you faithfully worshiping and serving wherever you are.

Sunday School is at 9:45 am

We have started a new Sunday School class for Parents -- P.R.A.Y.  Visit us and see if this is for you.

We also have other Sunday School classes for youth, children, and adults in addition to Bible Study opportunities. 

Wednesday dinners at 6:00 pm kick off the evening of activities, including choir practice, Guitar Bible Study, children's ministry, and more. 

Come find your place to be intentional about being part of a faith community that worships, learns, prays, and serves together as we discover the wonder of God's grace at work in our lives. 

Christian Service Is Important to Who We Are 

Pottsboro Great Days of Service Planning is underway.  The next meeting will be Monday, March 5, 6:00 pm and Lakeway United Methodist Church.

There are also other opportunities to serve with the members and guests of Lakeway.
