Our new location is just west of Pottsboro on FM 996 across from the Pottsboro Post Office
The
Resale Barn is
located in Pottsboro, Texas, as a mission of Lakeway United Methodist Church. The
Resale Barn was opened on August 13, 1996 in order to help neighbors in crisis.
Donations of clothing, housewares, furniture, building supplies, appliances, and
other saleable items are given to the Resale Barn to be cleaned, repaired if
necessary, and then sold.
The money received for the sale of these items is then used to help neighbors in
Grayson County who have had a crisis. Crisis is
defined as loss of job, death in family, major illness, car accident, house
fire, or other unpredictable situation.

Our
Newsletter in pdf:
receives no funds
or assets from the operation. All assets are committed to the long term
continuation of the Samaritan Ministry. Many
volunteers representing several other community churches help sustain this ministry
by working regular shifts and serving on our Board of Directors.
