  • New Sermon Series for July 2018: ‘Exiled in Babylon’

    This Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro, we will begin a new July sermon series that centers on Judah’s Babylonian exile and the ways in which the Israelites wrestled with issues of helplessness, hopelessness, and faith in the midst of the unknown. We have planned this series to complement our July 16-20, 2018, VBS theme “Daniel’s courage in Babylon.” Come and enjoy these multi-sensory worship experiences as we see our sanctuary come to life with the tastes. smells, sights and sounds of ancient Babylon over the next several weeks.   • VBS: Daniel’s Courage in Babylon – Dates have changed! July 30 – Aug. 2, 2018

    Vacation Bible School Daniel’s Courage in Babylon July 30 – August 2, 2018 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The dates for our VBS have changed!! Due to the road construction takin place in front of our church, we are changing the dates for our Vacation Bible School to Monday, July 30 – Thursday, August 2, 2018!! You will not want to miss this great event, so mark your calendars now and bring your kids, grandkids, and neighbor kids! We will be learning all about Daniel’s captivity in Babylon, doing crafts in the market place, learning about foods of the Bible, playing games, and much more! We hope you can join us!   • Passover Seder Meal: March 25, 2018

    The Passover Seder Meal will be a simple meal of stew and unleavened bread. There is no cost, but we ask that you call our church office and let us know that you are coming.

  • Maundy Thursday: March 29, 2018

    Maundy Thursday is a day that, in the life of the church, is all about the table. It is a day when we remember the last supper that Jesus shared with his beloved disciples.
