April 13, 2017, is Maundy Thursday. Maundy Thursday is a day that, in the life of the church, is all about the table. It is a day when we remember the last supper that Jesus shared with his beloved disciples and the words that he left them with, ‘love one another as I have loved you.’ It is a day when we ponder the events after the meal, when Jesus knelt to wash the feet of his friends … the one who would betray him, and the one who would deny him. It is a day filled with meaning and centered on a table of love, forgiveness, hope, and hospitality. We hope that you will join us as we gather to remember this piece of our sacred story. This year we are pleased that our Confirmands and their mentors will be taking part in our service which will be at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary.

GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE SERVICE OF DARKENING

On Friday evening, April 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., we invite you to join us in our church sanctuary for our Good Friday Tenebrae service of darkening. We will be reading the passion story and remembering the last hours before Jesus’ crucifixion. This is always a powerful service and we hope you can share the experience with us.

EASTER SUNDAY SERVICES

This year Lakeway will be hosting the ministerial alliance’s Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on April 16, 2017! We hope you will join us as we welcome the dawn and the risen Christ!

Our Easter morning services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. will include all of your favorite Easter hymns and our traditional Easter Choir cantata! Please join us as we celebrate the risen Christ! Coffee and pastries will be served all morning in the fellowship hall.
