Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Celebration of Terri Townsend’s 55th Birthday. Happy Birthday Terri! Wishing you many more Birthdays filled with Good Health and Happiness. In addition, to celebrate her birthday, Terri treated the Sunday School class to a catered breakfast from Uncle B’s consisting of pancakes, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs and was a nice, unexpected treat for the group.
Pastor Frank reminded attendees the first Bible Study Class called We Believe – The Nicene Creed. The first class was held this past Thursday, October 9th from 10:00 – 11:15am. He invited anyone who may still want to come to know they are welcome. Email Pastor Frank if interested so a book can be ordered for you OR use the QR code on the back of the worship bulletin to sign up. Very easy process. Place your camera on the QR code. When the yellow bar flashes across, click on it and you should be given the opportunity to sign up.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music for the Choir with Rachel Tillman leading during the offering, and a Pastoral Prayers ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of Luke 17:11-19 and the message was on Grateful or Ungrateful. Two Hymns were sung “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” and “O How I Love Jesus”. The Attendees joined hands and listened to the benediction before the end of the Service.
Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit. We love visitors and meeting new people.
